The Nazarene Disaster Rapid Reponse team is comprised of members and friends of the Virginia District Church of the Nararene.  All team members are volunteers.  We take time away from our work and homes for one reason--to help others after a disaster strike. 

Team members are trained in First Aid, emergency home repair, tool and site safety, food preparation and distribution.  Many team members have assisted during other disasters in recent years. 

Our goal is to extend a compassionate hand of Christian friendship and support, working alonside those wh are devasted and suffer loss as the result of a disaster. 

Our desire to provide an atomospere of concern and emotional support along with the ability to communicate Christ's love in the midst of crises. 

We believe that expressing the compassion of Jesus in practical ways to those who suffer as a result of natural or human-made diaster is central to the Gospel.
